Become one with Mullet Boats

Now is the chance to become associated with Mullet Boats and have your company logo prominently displayed in Westhaven Marina, alongside the new boulevard.

The plan is to create a boulevard of sponsors’ brands on the very visible cockpit covers in the foreground to one of Auckland’s best vistas. Space has been allocated alongside J Marina for the Mullet Boats.

On permanent display will be a row of Mullet Boats - 22ft in length, open cockpit yachts with 22ft mainsail booms and large cockpit covers.

Artist’s impression of the boardwalk where the Mullet Boats will be tied up, the Ponsonby Cruising Club is in the background.

The first ever Centreboard Cup was held in early November to celebrate 100 years of the Richmond Cruising Club. Crafts of all shapes and sizes vied for a bevy of prizes (aptly trophies and beer). After two laps of Watchman Island, Martin Robertson’s Orion II took the line and John Grinter’s Komuri handicap honours. In scenes reminiscent of the club’s opening in 1913, spectators gathered on the bank above Sloan’s Beach to watch the action.
