Built in 1936 by Charles Collings, Corona dominated her class for many years. She was recently rescued from a slow, motorised death and restored back to how she slipped out of the yards seven and a half decades ago. A true piece of Auckland’s maritime heritage.

Here’s a short article on Mullet Boat racing from the September 2010 issue of the Red Bulletin.
An early 1940s, 16 foot mulletboat designed and built by “Trotter” Willets, Escapade was reigning S class champ until the class became defunct.
She now resides with Dave Nigh, who first owned her in 1972.
She is being completely rebuilt by Dave and Ben Freedman.
