Recently Tamatea, Valeria and a keeler went for a winter cruise to Islington Bay at Rangitoto Island. It was a chance to get a few people out for a mullet boat experience in a slightly more relaxed environment than the competitive chaos of the average race. It was sunny, but chilly, with a moderate south-westerly breeze. The sail to Islington Bay was pleasant and a few of the mullet newbies got to pull a few ropes. The Bay turned on a pearla and everyone piled ashore for jovial picnic and a few Dark ‘n Stormies. Thanks to Conrad Smith for the photos.
